MACHINE & REPAIRS TECHNICIAN (GENERAL MAINTENANCE)

Key Responsibilities

1. Machinery maintenance and repair
2. General facility maintenance
3. Documentation and quality control
4. Safety and compliance
5. Operational support

Technical Skill

1. Mechanical aptitude.. Ability to read and interprete technical manuals
2. General maintenance e.g perform tabrication, welding, and basic repairs,.
3. Preventive maintenance
4. Diagnostic tools e.g ability to use tools to find fault in motors among others
5.  Software skills

Personal Attributes

1. Phyical fitness
2. Problem solving and trouble shooting
3. Strong communication
4. Flexibility e. g wiing to work flexible shifts

Requirements

1. Ordinary diploma in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering or industrial maintenance from a reputable institute
2. Preferred will be a HND( Higher National Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
3. Technical certification in technical areas like hydraulics, pneumatics and welding is highly advantageous
4. Vocational trainings from reputable institutions like Kichwamba Technical Insitute, Bushenyi among others,
5. Experience of a minimum of 2-4 years of hands on in a busy high output or heavy manufacturing environment
6. Previous work in FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods eg Cement production, Sugar, or even plastic manufacturing is higly valued
7. Proven ability to trouble shoot, test, repair and maintain mechanical equipment, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machinery
